Here's Dr Bonnie Beaver, founding diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and current Executive Director discussing Ontario's dog ownership ban at Committee on April 25, 2012..
"There are three primary points I wish to make, with details presented in the handout:
(1) Pit bull dogs, regardless of how they are defined, are not the dogs reported in Canada for inflicting fatal or even severe bites. According to the most recent study for the years 1990 through 2007, huskies and husky crosses are. Huskies were involved in 32 of 48 fatal attacks. Interestingly, this was also true in 2004 when the original bill was considered. However, huskies were not included on the Ontario list of bad dogs. Neither were German shepherds, cocker spaniels, Rottweilers, or golden retrievers, the top four breeds involved in dog-bite injuries in Canada at that time."
Not quite what the newsies would have you believe, eh wot? That's the difference between real research and pulling things out of your asshat.

What is Dalton McGuinty afraid of? We won't bite.
Call Bill 16 for a Vote!
Imagine. Facts. Wow. Not that the Liberal government ever allowed something as irrelevant as reality intrude on their hysteria.

No, that might upset their base.

McGuinty is obviously scared of the truth. Won't testify at the ORNGE Committee hearings, won't call Bill 16 for third reading.

McGuinty ignores the truth if it doesn't suit his purposes.
